<g:title>Heron & Hibiscus</g:title>
<g:description>Having direct access to Oso Bay in Corpus Christi has been phenomenal as an artist. I am able to study from life directly. I became intrigued by these dinosaur-like birds and how they danced their heads in a drone-like motion to pierce their prey, and then gladly devour. With the help of nature journaling from life and John Muir Laws guidance from the internet - I was able to come up with an original composition from many drawings. I then took the drawing and made this painting with it. I artistically studied the anatomy of the bird and fell in love with its iconic spine and how it sharply curves between two vertebrae. This is the second in a series of bird paintings from the Corpus Christi Area. I hope to complete as many birds as I can.

This piece was juried into the South Texas Art League and hung in the Art Museum of Corpus Christi for the last quarter of 2025. </g:description>

      <g:title>Mariposa Monarca </g:title>
<g:description>10x8 inch oil on panel, Unframed.

This painting was started at my first time painting live at KSpace Contemporary Gallery for their March Artwalk in 2025. I later finished this painting after finding out that I got selected for their iconic 2025 Salon Spectacular Show later that year. KSpace has been a huge part of my emerging career as an artist. I feel that this painting represents the growth that I have accomplished since shortly moving to Corpus Christi and following my dreams. </g:description>

      <g:title>Tawny Emperor</g:title>
<g:description>This butterfly portrait captures a fleeting moment on a summer morning. I was struck by how the Tawny Emperor glowed against the cool green leaves, its wings patterned like stained glass.

The piece is about stillness and wonder. In a fast world, noticing a butterfly feels like an act of reverence. This painting is a record of that moment.

      <g:title>Koi Dance </g:title>
<g:description>In this underwater scene, I wanted to capture the fluid dance of koi as they swirl and turn through deep, green-blue water. The central fish glows with fiery orange, its flowing fins like silk in motion, surrounded by more muted companions.

This piece is a meditation on grace and movement. The koi become abstracted forms of motion, almost musical in their choreography.

The water itself became a character, full of shifting light and mystery. I hope the painting offers a sense of calm and curiosity, pulling the viewer into a layered, living world.

      <g:title>Spoonbill Sunrise on Oso Bay</g:title>
<g:description>This is a painting I did of a solitary roseate spoonbill wading through still water at the opening of day. I was drawn to the quiet, otherworldly glow of the purple dawn, the way the fading light turns water into velvet and feathers into soft flame..

This piece is about attention and how beauty lives in fleeting, quiet moments. It invites the viewer to slow down and observe not just the bird, but the mood of the landscape.

This work was selected to be included in the Coastal Bend Bays Foundation's, Earth Day Bay Day exhibit at the Art Center of Corpus Christi.
